Ratchadamnoen road partially reopens

Jor Por Ror intersection on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue is to reopen to traffic between 5am and 10pm every day after successful negotiations with anti-government protesters, traffic police commander Jirasan Kaewsaenga-ek sai said on Tuesday.

Protesters agreed to reopen part of the road to traffic during the daytime from Wednesday 26 Feb following police talks on the issue.

However, the road will be closed after 10pm every evening to ensure the safety of demonstrators, Pol Maj Gen Jirasan said. 

From tomorrow, motorists will be able to use one inbound and one outbound lane along Wisut Kasat Road through Jor Por Ror intersection to Chakkraphatdiphong Road.

Motorists travelling from Rama 8 Bridge will be able pass through Jor Por Ror intersection, while those coming from Chakkraphatdiphong Road will be able to access the bridge using the intersection, he added.
