Grenades thrown at Criminal Court

Two hand grenades were thrown at the Criminal Court late on Monday morning. Only one exploded, and no-one was hurt, to the spokesman of the Office of the Judiciary said.

The spokesman said the two grenades were intended to land in the court's compound, but only one landed inside the perimeter fence. The another landed outside.  This attack occurred about 10.30am.

Only one of the grenades exploded, but caused no casualties.

The unexploded grenade landed near the parking area of the Criminal Court.  Police had been called in to destroy it and investigate.

The Office of the Judiciary would inform the public if it had more details, he said.
