Four villagers, two Buddhists and two Muslims, were shot dead, and three others injured when a group of southern terrorists opened fire at a home in Khok Pho district of Pattani last night, according to Thai PBS online.
Khok Pho police chief Po Lt-Col Pathompong Petcharoon said the attack happened about 8pm at a Thai Buddhist village at Ban Khien in Khok Pho.
The armed men arrived in a green pickup truck, sprayed bullets from assault rifles at a group of people in a house and then sped off in the direction of Ban Tapat village.
Killed were two Thai Buddhists and two Thai Muslims, while the three injured are two Thai Muslims and a Thai Buddhist.
Police believed it was the work of RKK militants targeting the Thai Buddhist village.
