B26m car in Samut Prakan crash

A 26-million-baht luxury sports car veered off the road and crashed into a ditch in Samut Prakan province on Monday, police said.

Pol Maj Pokchat Chaisukawat of Muang Samut Prakan police station said the white Lamborghini, with a Bangkok licence plate Kor Nor (ฆณ) 323, careered into the ditch on Srinagarindra Road at about 3am.

The car was badly damaged. Jakraphan Rungsukcharoen, the 30-year-old driver who runs a private business in Samut Prakan, sustained minor injuries.

Mr Jakraphan admitted to police that he was speeding but said he lost control of the Lamborghini when another car abruptly cut in front of him to make a U-turn near the roadside ditch.

Police were investigating.
