One worker was killed and ten others injured, one of them seriously, when a temporary stage intended for a major concert on Saturday collapsed late Wednesday night, according to Thai Rath online.
The accident occurred about midnight while workers were installing the light and sound system at the stage inside the newly built Wessuwan Sports Stadium of the Udon Thani Municipality in tambon Nong Bua of Muang district in preparing for the concert entitled "MTV EXIT Live in Udon Thani."
The concert was scheduled for Saturday, March 15, from 7pm.
Eleven workers were injured, two of them seriously, in the collapse. One of the two seriously injured died on Thursday morning.
