Students do well on PE, fail the rest

Results of the Ordinary National Education Tests (Onet) show that the only course in which most Mathayom 6 (Grade 12) students were able to get more than 50% was health and physical education, National Institute of Educational Testing Service (NIETS) director Samphan Phanphruk said on Thursday.

He said the students took the exams on Feb 15 and 16, 2014. The NIETS initially planned to announce the results on March 31.

The test results are as follows:

"Students have lower scores because the tests are quite difficult.

"Only 0.05% of the students have 0 scores in Thai Language, English Language, Math, Arts, and Career and Vocational Technical Education. We cannot tell whether they could not do the tests or had no intention to do them," Mr Samphan said.

Universities and educational institutes can check the Onet results on www.niets.or.th, he added.
