MP to campaign for Somchai removal

A former Pheu Thai MP will campaign for 20,000 voters to sign up for the removal of an election commissioner.

Somkid Chueakong, a former Pheu Thai Ubon Ratchathani MP, questioned Somchai Srisuthiyakorn's motive when he posted on his Facebook page a poem he composed himself during his Italy trip implying the need to be "leaning" like the Tower of Pisa for the greater good.

Mr Somkid questioned Mr Somchai's impartiality and whether he had breached Section 229, which requires election commissioners to be impartial politically.

Mr Somkid stressed this was his own move as a citizen and had nothing to do with the party.

He also said April 1 will be the "National Police-Reporting Day" where disgruntled Feb 2 voters will report to the police on how their votes on Feb 2 amounted to nothing.
