The South Bangkok Criminal Court yesterday sentenced Channel 3 actor Porames Singpho to seven years and six months in jail for shooting to death his business partner in Thong Lor last year.
The case took place early on Jan 17. Police said Porames, his friend, his girlfriend and Noppadol Athibai dined together at a pub on Sukhumvit Soi 55. They were business partners.
The actor argued with his girlfriend, prompting Noppadol, 44, to step in. Porames then fought Noppadol before drawing a gun and shooting him in the head.
Noppadol was pronounced dead later at a hospital.
Widely known as P Porames, the 33-year-old actor appealed against the verdict and placed 1 million baht in surety to back his bail request.
