Two people died and seven buildings were damaged after a fire broke out at an automotive accessories shop located on Pridi Banomyong Soi 44 on Saturday morning.
Sajja Khontrong, chief of Bangkok's Wattana district, said the fire was believed to have been started by an electrical fault at about 3am.
Mr Sajja said rescue workers were searching through the ruins for more bodies.
