A crowd control policeman was seriously injured when he fell while descending on a rope from a helicopter during a rescue drill over Vibhavadi police station on Wednesday, INN online reported.
The accident occurred about noon.
Pol Sr Sgt Maj Monchai Boonpairote, a member of a riot control unit of the Region 1 Provincial Police Bureau, was seriously injured when he hit the ground.
He was rushed to Kasemrat Hospital in Prachachuen area for emergency treatment, the report said.
