The Hua Hin Municipality and the district highway office are putting up flags, lights and images of His Majesty and royal family members along Phetkasem Road in Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Provincial governor Veera Sriwattanatrakul held talks with all agencies to ensure they are ready for the occasion.

His Majesty will grant an audience at Rajapracha Samakhom Pavilion inside Klai Kangwon Palace on Coronation Day on May 5.

The King's motorcade will leave Piemsuk Palace for the pavilion via Phetkasem to give all Thais a chance to greet His Majesty, the governor said.

It will be the same route that was used in the audience on the King's birthday on Dec 5 last year, he added.

Mr Veera urged no political activities on May 5 and no sales of fireworks in the area where the activity will be held.
