PDRC withdraws from Channel 9

People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) protesters on Sunday morning withdrew from Modernnine television station and returned to Lumpini Park, reports said.

Their leaders - Chumpol Julasai and Jitpas Kridakorn - said they were satisfied with cooperation given to their request for it to present news of PDRC activities, particularly a live broadcast of PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban on Saturday night.

Mr Chumpol thanked Channel 9 executives and staff for providing convenience for the protesters while they spent two nights at the station, apologised them for causing any inconveniences they might have caused, and called for their superiors not to punish the executives for allowing them inside the station's compound.

The protesters under Mr Chumpol and Ms Jitpas were to return to Lumpini Park where they would stay one night before moving to join Mr Suthep's group at Government House on Monday.
