Anti-coup protesters marching to Victory Monument have been blocked by soldiers and police.
Several hundreds staged a protest in front of Major Cineplex on Phahon Yothin Road this morning but were surrounded by soldiers and police.
They planned to join another "pop-up" protest group at the Victory Monument at 5pm.
The group faced a wall of security officers at Saphan Khwai intersection so they got on the skytrain to go to their destination.
As of 4.50pm, soldiers were reportedly trying to close the gate of the BTS Victory Monument station to stop them, causing a chaos on the skywalk there.
Another smaller group also rallied at the MBK skywalk at 5pm.
