BTS stations reopen

The skytrain operator has reopened the Phloenchit, Chidlom and Victory Monument stations after temporary closing them because of the protests against the coup.

The operator said in a Twitter message that service at all three stations on the Sukhumvit line had returned to normal.

It reminded passengers that the BTS will run until 9pm on Sunday.

MRT trains continue to terminate services at the same time.

Phloenchit and Chidlom stations were shut for safety reasons after the rally opposing the coup at Amarin Plaza in Ratchaprasong area. Victory Monument station was closed for almost two hours from 4.45pm as protesters moved from Amarin Plaza to the monument.
