Mix and match colour this summer

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

Leading American casual menswear brand John Henry has launched its spring/summer 2014 collection featuring a selection of casual lines in a range of cool colours such as navy blue, aqua-blue, red, pink, green and beige, designed to be worn in a mix-and-match style.

“The S/S 2014 collection highlights trendy, practical wear in vibrant colours and prints,” said Thanamon Ekthanutt, marketing manager of Central Marketing Group, the brand’s distributor. “It allows wearers to mix and match these stylish and colourful pieces according to their preference for any occasion — be it leisure or more formal. Fashion-conscious men can refresh their look in various styles using smart-casual apparels from this new collection.”

For a bold “Pop of Colour” look, try matching a light pink shirt with a navy-blue blazer, and finish it up with a pair of neatly-cut red trousers.

Casual looks are achieved by matching a shirt with floral, mini dots, geometric shapes and Hawaiian-style patterns with a pair of shorts made from cotton or a classic chambray fabric.

For the smart yet stylish look, a blazer in check prints works great with a plain white shirt and a pair of slightly rolled up beige cargo pants.

For a minimalist-style look, a pair of shorts will go well with a simple T-shirt. For something trendier, try matching the shorts with a patterned shirt and finish the look with a plain-coloured cardigan.

Aqua-blue is a colour tone for summer. As well as being pleasing to the eye, it can also cool down the wearer’s temperature. Pick out a blue-hue shirt or polo-shirt from this collection and match it with dark-coloured pants or shorts, or simply put on a blue blazer to achieve a more formal look for the evening.

John Henry counters are located in leading department stores nationwide, including Central, Robinson department stores and The Mall.
