Diesel leaked from an old fishing boat that sank in the Chao Praya River near Bangkok’s Klong San pier on Friday afternoon, causing an oil slick about 40 metres around it.
Its owner said the boat, Porn Samut Nava 5, had been docked in the area waiting to be repaired for almost two years, according to a television reporter tweet on her account @darin_TRnews.
It finally sank.
There were about 100 litres of diesel in its tank when the boat sank due to a leak in its stern.
