NCPO again briefs military attaches

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) organised its second briefing of foreign military attaches, and officials from 15 countries attended, on Wednesday.

NCPO spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak who gave the briefing said before the meeting he would inform them of the NCPO's achievements in its first month of national administration.

He would also explain Thailand's response to the United States report on human trafficking that demoted  Thailand to Tier 3, the worst  level. 

Col Werachon said he would respond to the European Union's statement opposing the coup and calling  for a quick general election, as well as brief attendees on the NCPO's national reconciliation efforts.

The spokesman said he would tell foreign military attaches that the state had paid out about 92 billion baht in outstanding payments for rice pleged to the previous government's scheme, to help struggling  farmers, and that the NCPO intended to complete its regulation of public transport vehicles in about a month.

Present in the briefing were military attaches from the US, Britain, France, Germany, Ukraine, Australia, Japan, Israel, Cambodia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar.
