APP OF THE WEEK
You can now enjoy your favourite videos from YouTube even without an internet connection. Video Downloader Super Premium ++ VDownload allows you to download videos from YouTube and Google and store them in your smartphone for offline viewing.
The app is very easy to use. All you need to do is just use the in-app browser to look through the videos on YouTube or Google until you find the one you wish to download. After this video has played, you will be asked to decide if you would like to save the video to phone memory. Hit “Save to memory” and the video will be stored in the in-app Downloads section. From these downloaded videos, you can create and manage your own playlist. And next time, when you want to view these videos, you just have to turn on the app and go to your downloaded content; there’s no need to connect to the internet. The app supports standard video formats such as mp4, mov, m4v, 3gp and mpeg.
For easier viewing, you can also transfer any downloaded videos stored in the application to your phone’s camera roll.
The free version (Video Downloader Lite Super — VDownload) only allows a limited number of videos to be stored, but the full version, which costs US$3.99, has capacity for storing an unlimited number of downloads. All the instructions on the app are available in English.
