Busabakorn stars as Thais win Dutch title

The Thai women’s team won the Dutch Junior Open with Busabakorn Sukhapan winning the individual event on Friday.

Featuring Busabakorn, Supamas Sangchan, and Suthavee Chanachai, the Thailand team scored 823 to win the women’s team victory at the
par-71Toxandria Golf Club in Molenschot, the Netherlands. Germany (847) and Spain (856) finished second and third respectively.

It was another good performance for the trio who were just picked to represent the country in the 17th Asian Games in the next two months.
In the 72-hole individual event, Busabakorn, 16, fired a three-under-par-68 in the final round with five birdies and two bogeys.

She stormed back to win the title by five shots on 20-under-par 264 and will compete at next year’s European Tour’s Deloitte Ladies Open in the Netherlands.
