Students do well at chemistry olympiad

Thai students won one gold medal and three silver at the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad in Vietnam.

Pornpun Waitayangkoon, president of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology, said that the students earned the medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad, which ran from July 20 to 29.

The gold medallist is Bundit Diloknawarit of Trium Udom Suksa School and the three silvers were won by Watchara Uaisinprasert and Nopasin Witayaphalert of Trium Udom Suksa School and Sirajak Khongwiwatsathian of Mahidol Wittayanusorn School.

Mrs Pornpun said the contest drew 291 students from 75 countries. The delegation would arrive back in Thailand on Tuesday afternoon.
