His Majesty the King is returning to Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok for a medical checkup, the Information Division of the Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary said on Wednesday.
The division reported that royal doctors said His Majesty had been staying at Klai Kangwon Palace in Prachuap Khiri Khan province for slightly over a year, since Aug 1, 2013, and it was time for a thorough physical examination.
This required that he return to Siriraj, which has the needed equipment. They had invited the King to undergo a checkup at Siriraj Hospital on Wednesday, the Information Division said.
His Majesty the King is 87 years old.
