Yingluck in clear over flight change

Ousted prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra's visit to Singapore did not violate the conditions set out by the regime for her trip as she informed the military of the change to her travel itinerary, a National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) source said.

Ms Yingluck's close aide, who accompanied her on the trip, said the former premier had informed the NCPO about her arrival late on Sunday night. She also kept the military up to date with her itinerary, including the Singapore trip.

Ms Yingluck arrived at Don Mueang airport by private jet from Singapore at 10pm on Sunday.

It was not necessary for Ms Yingluck to report to the NCPO after returning from her overseas trip, said the source.

The former prime minister visited a hypermarket near her residence upon her return to Thailand yesterday morning.

Ms Yingluck told reporters that she doesn't have to report to the regime as she returned to Thailand by the agreed date.

In a "thorn between two roses" moment, Thaksin poses with sister Yingluck Shinawatra and brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat after a snack in a Singapore food court on Sunday. The photo of the three ex-premiers was posted to her Instagram account by Thaksin's daughter, Paetongtarn.
