9 Samut Songkhram students hit by car

Nine students were hurt after being hit by a car while waiting to cross the street near their Samut Songkhram province school Thursday, police said.

The accident occurred at about 8am when the car broke through a concrete wall and hit the youths waiting to cross the road to Muang Samut Songkhram School.

Nine children were slightly injured and admitted to Phutthalertla Hospital.

The car's unidentified driver said he had parked his car in parking lot opposite the school to let his kids off.  As he drove away, the car unexplainably accelerated. Unable to stop, the driver chose to steer the vehicle into the wall, not realizing it would break through.

The concrete wall is broken by a car, injuring nine students.
