The verdict Thursday removes any lingering uncertainty around the victory of former Jakarta governor Joko Widodo, who is to be inaugurated as the next leader of the world's fourth most populous nation in October.

Subianto had alleged massive fraud in the July 9 polls and filed a complaint in the Constitutional Court.

In a lengthy verdict, a nine-judge panel rejected Subianto's allegations.

Earlier, Subianto's supporters clashed briefly with police outside the courtroom in central Jakarta.
