“The best appartment accomodation I have stayed in”
In March this year I my partner and a friend travelled to Patong and stayed in a two bedroom appartment at BYD Lofts, wow what a beautiful appartment, modern, heaps of room, comfortable western beds, free internet, hot water boiler, fully stocked bar fridge, fantastic bathrooms, could not fault. We are now heading back in October, and yes, staying once again at BYD Lofts, in their new pool access room, as there are only two of us, people do yourself a favour and stay at this hotel, the staff are incrediably friendly, and nothing is a bother. If your still unsure and your in Patong, go to BYD Lofts and have them show you their appartments, it will knock you for six.
“Ridiculously stylish rooms!”
I was travelling with a group of 4 friends and we shared a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of space, style and the quality of the furnishings and appliances. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at the property!
“BYD Why would you stay anywhere else”
We recently stayed a total of 30 nights at BYD and we could not have been happier with our decision. From day one when the arranged new taxi picked us up at the airport the service was fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble for all the staff. The maids were so friendly and did a great job. The front desk girls were so friendly and they spoke really good english. We met the owners and the manager who were never to busy to stop for a chat or to ask if everything was going well.
The wine collection shop was a added bonus. Reasonably priced wine and you could have it delivered to your table in the resturant. How good was the resturant? The staff were so efficient and friendly and they also spoke good english.
The location was so central for us. Just of the main street but not to far to walk to the beach or into the main entertainment areas. Just next door was a great sandwich shop and also a lovely lady called Tip who did our laundry.
We cant wait until next year when we return hopefully for a longer period of time.
Thank you to all at BYD
Clean and big!
Staff performance was great, they're attentive and welcome to serve you anything at anytime. Rooms are huge and have a very modern feel to it. Large balcony which overlooks the other building of BYD and the street. Almost private pool; didn't see anyone using it everytime i swam. Rented a car and the hotel didnt charge me any service fee, only the rental company charges.
“Best place to stay in Patong ......”
This is a wonderful apartment hotel in Patong. Close enough to all the action, but located in a quiet street and close to the beach. The rooms are very large and very modern. Everything is spotless!! The staff is very friendly. Nice bar, restaurant and bottle shop on site. This is one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed at. The owners make you feel very welcome!!
Bill K. BYD suites
I enjoyed my stay. My girl friend and I liked the room. It was really an apartment and I could stay there for months as the kitchen was fully functional. Every thing was modern and comfortable. The staff was very good and helpful, so I recommend a stay there if you want to hang out and spread out. We found some restaurants near by that were good and the staff will call a taxi for you so you can easily get around. About a 3 min. walk to a road where taxi's can be found and another 5 min. walk to the main road and viewing the bay water and beaches.
A taste of Expat living
Excellent location away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. Excellent cheap places to eat within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge and well fitted out. We could easily live here. We felt like expats more than tourists. Very enjoyable but always to short a stay. We will love to be back again.
“Amazing 5 star Apartment at 2 star prices”
Decided to come to Phuket at the very last minute to grab some rays away from a cold Ozzie winter.
Grabbed a deal at agoda.com and was amazed that I could get this hotel for $90.00 aus .( per room) per night when most sites advertised around $200.00 per night.
Now hotels and resorts are cheap in Thailand 24/7 but most are old, unkept, unloved and over rated.
I have to say in all honesty BYD Lofts is one of the best value for money Hotels i have stayed in any where in the Wolrd. I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with private lift, 105 cm LCD , 24 hour maid service, 2 shower head shower, robes, slippers, beach towels, mini bar, free water, cofee, free wi-fi, kitchen, dvd, i-pod docking station etc etc.
The fittings are 5 star and not 3rd rate as most 3/4 star hotels in Thailand use. The kitchen had all European fititngs such as Smeg cookers and Smeg Fridge.
The hotel has a World class Restaurant with 2 star prices. The wine list is World class and there is a Wine shop attached to the hotel.
The pool is a roof top lap pool but is very private and comfortable. The beach is 5 minute walk and only 2 blocks from Bangla Road and Jung Ceylon Shopping Center.
The staff are some of the best i have come across in Thailand, not pushy, honest and most speak very good English.
I would not hesiate to recommend BYD Lofts and i will stay here when ever i visit Phuket.
There is only one down side and this is nothing to do with the Hotel. Patong is looking very tired, dirty and a lot sleezier then normal. The touts are out in force and beware of European backpackers on motorbikes trying to sell you any thing from Time Share to Suits. They don't like being told NO and they can get quite agressive when asked to go away. The Thai Tourist Police need to look at this issue as i don't come on hoilday to be confronted by agressive penniless desperate backpackers.
The plus of staying at BYD Lofts is that its away from the tourist end of Patong and the surrounding Sois are clean, quite and backpacker free.
Don't let the Bangla Road touts upset your travel plans as BYD Lofts is agreat HQ to have a great Thai Hoilday.
“Loved BYD! will come again next year”
We loved BYD lofts apartments very much, we liked the idea of having our own kitchen to make breakfast and heat up snacks in the microwave etc. The apartment is very spacious neat and cosy, the cleaning staff were the best I have ever incountered very friendly and did a fantastic job we left them a tip and a thankyou note. The Reception Staff were fabulous especially Nate she was so lovely and always smiling and ready to help with anything. We met one of the Managers Alex who was very lovely man always checked we were taken care of and always willing for a chat. Alex and Peter also own the BYD Condos across the road and are in the process of building new apartments which will be open in November/December. There are so many restaurants to choose from in walking distance, the Patong Food Park (nice and cheap) at the end of the laneway if you like your seafood fresh still flapping in a tank you can choose your own. Nicky's Handlebars across the road on Rat u thit rd good food and reasonable prices if you have kids nice pizzas and french fries. The BYD bistro downstairs was very nice not to expensive lovely food and Happy Hour is two for one cocktails and beers. And for us ladies don't go past Beauty Land down the laneway 2 floors of haircare, face, body and makeup products (very cheap!!!). Olay,Garnier,Nivea,Neutrogena,Wella,Schwartzkopf,Mabeleine,Loreal and mens product as well. We recomend BYD lofts for singles, couples and families looking for a near new very clean and comfortable place to call home while in Phuket we will be back next year for sure.
