Seacon puts focus on prefabricated houses

Strategy to lower risks from labour shortage

Veteran homebuilder Seacon Home Group plans to expand prefabrication production capacity by 30% to lower its risk from labour shortages and higher wages. 

The low-end segment does not care much whether the house is built with prefabrication pieces or not, says Mr Kobchai.

Kobchai Sosothikul, the group's managing director, believes the whole industry will shift to prefabricated construction.
