L.E.K. Consulting is an international corporate advisory firm
with around 450 professionals worldwide. The company is run
as a single resource unit with 15 offices throughout Europe,
the United States and Asia-Pacific. There are more than 60
professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, based in Sydney,
Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai and Beijing.
Our experience covers a broad range of industries,
ranging from large state utilities to small, entrepreneurial
technology firms. Clients include listed organisations, privately
owned enterprises and government entities. The Bangkok office
is the regional hub for Southeast Asia.
The L.E.K. approach is founded on rigorous

of corporate and business unit strategy, shareholder value
(or Value Based Management), and mergers and acquisitions.
Business Strategy: At the corporate level,
L.E.K. provides advice to businesses, undertaking portfolio

planning and implementing organisational restructuring, restructuring
and turnaround and advising on issues of corporatisation and
privatisation. Consulting services at the business unit level
include growth, profitability and market attractiveness studies,
relative cost and benchmarking comparisons, segmentation and
competitor reviews.
Shareholder Value: L.E.K. is a thought leader
in the shareholder value movement, linking strategy development
directly with Value Based Management.
The application of VBM provides a mechanism
for strategy validation at a corporate and business unit level.
Identifying key performance indicators that have a direct
and measurable link to value creation, allows value-linked
performance measurement and compensation at an operating level.
L.E.K. has successfully implemented VBM within
major corporations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe,
the United Kingdom and the United States.
Mergers and Acquisitions: L.E.K. offers unique
M&A capability in searching for target candidates, commercial
due diligence, valuation, corporate finance advice and post-acquisition
integration.
In asset sales and business disposals, our
strategic and financial expertise is deployed in valuation,
identification of potential buyers, execution assistance and
negotiation tactics. The firm has served in this role in more
than 300 completed transactions valued at a total of approximately
US$200 billion.
