Various firms have made tentative forays into micro-console territory -- the ill-fated OnLive box a notable effort, with Ouya and GameStick recipientq of considerable Kickstarter funding -- but MadCatz is determined to compete with Project MOJO.

The manufacturer is better-known for producing arcade sticks, joypads, and tie-in products as well as for subsiduary Saitek and headset company Tritton.
But MOJO is part of Mad Catz's new GameSmart line, which focuses on mobile rather than console or computer, and the little black box is primed to run on Android, with dates and prices to be announced.
