- +

The Samsung Galaxy Gear is due to be launched today at IFA 2013 in Berlin.

As for the specs: Samsung is opting for a 2.5-inch, square OLED display and the new watch could also feature an Exynos 4212 SoC (system-on-chips) along with 1GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Gear will reportedly accept voice commands via Samsung's S Voice app, and VentureBeat.com estimates the device's battery life to be in excess of 10 hours (on a single charge). It's also said to have a 4MP camera built into the strap, with its own speakers positioned near the clasp _ for use, perhaps, as a hands-free calling device. The watch will come in five colours, white, orange, grey, black and gold.

NIKON D7100

This digital SLR camera is equipped with a DX-format CMOS image sensor with an effective pixel count of 24.1 million and an Expeed 3 high-performance, image-processing engine. It offers excellent definition and superior rendering performance since it isn't equipped with an optical low-pass filter. It offers a densely packed, 51-point AF system with cross-type sensors adopted for the most frequently used 15 focus points at the centre of the frame, making for a combination of excellent rendering performance and subject acquisition with a compact and lightweight body.

POWERSHOT CAMERAS FROM CANON

The Canon Powershot SX 280 HS and SX 270 HS have a super-zoom facility plus a lens range of up to 40x and optical zoom of 20x. Light and compact, this could be an ideal travelling companions with its Wi-Fi capability and built-in GPS (only for the SX 280 HS), enabling users to shoot and share photos with smartphones, tablets, desk-top computers or even other Canon cameras which have Wi-Fi embedded. The cameras come with a 12.1MP CMOS sensor and a new DIGIC 6 imaging processor for astoundingly high-quality photos and full HD movies. It is waterproof at up to depths of 40m when using with WP-DC 49 (optional accessories).

ZENBOOK TOUCH

The slim ASUS Zenbook Touch comes with a 13.3-inch monitor that can handle full HD and weighs only 1.3kg. It has a functioning Windows 8 system, the processing unit of Intel Core i7 processors (3rd generation) along with the technology of ASUS Super Hybrid Engine II that have the ability to resume operations within two seconds. The battery can be left in stand-by mode for as long as 14 days and if it has only 5% of its power remaining, all unsaved materials will be automatically saved on the SSD. The use of SonicMaster technology partnered with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower should guarantee a sound system to satisfy any audio perfectionist.

LG G2

LG G2's 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display gives you a visual experience with true-to-nature colours, sharp text, high-definition details, and a cinema-like 16:9 aspect ratio. Glossy, smooth and thin, the device measures 13.8cm tall and 8.9mm thick. Its rich, 423 pixels-per-inch resolution shows off every detail. The feature of dual recording/dual camera lets you activate the front and rear cameras simultaneously, so you can record yourself and your subject at the same time. Not only is it the first globally available device to boast Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor, but the G2 is also equipped with an expansive 1080p display and 13MP camera.
