There are more than 600,000 active users of Angry Birds daily on smart phones and other mobile devices around the world and the company making the game hopes to reach one billion users within two months.
The popular mobile game Angry Birds has landed on Facebook.
The Facebook version has been developed to tap over 800 million Facebook users worldwide. In Thailand, which has 13.7 million Facebook users, there were more than 18 million Angry Birds downloads across iOS, Android, Blackberry and Symbian platforms.
The Facebook version of Angry Birds comes with special features including social components, power-ups and Facebook-exclusive features. To play the game, and it is available free of charge, log on to Facebook.AngryBirds.com. You can play it alone or with friends on Facebook.
To increase the excitement around the game in the country, MCN, the digital marketing agency responsible for the Angry Birds franchise in Southeast Asia and Japan, and AirAsia, the partner airline, and ARIP will hold a competition, "Angry Birds Facebook Thailand Challenge at Commart", which is open to fans nationwide.
