Although sci-fi shooter Halo 4 eschews multiple collector's editions for a binary choice between the Standard and Limited editions, there'll still be a mountain of merchandise for fans to spend big on, including a $75 soundtrack package.

Back in May, the Halo website broke the news that Halo 4's Limited Edition would go for $99, indicating a return to relative austerity for the series that, two years before, had offered Halo Reach in a $79 Limited Edition and $149 Legendary Edition.
As it turns out, not only will there be a special customized Halo 4 console bundle -- an Xbox 360 and controller with Halo 4 style decals and lights for $299, revealed in July -- but a soundtrack box set that checks in at $75.
For the princely sum, buyers will get the game's soundtrack ($14 on its own), a remix album, "making of" DVD, hardcover book detailing the Abbey Road recording sessions, a 12" art print and a 12" vinyl picture disk. In addition, the first 5000 orders will be numbered and personalized by composer Neil Davidge of Massive Attack fame.
