'Grand Theft Auto V' for PC listed by Amazon

Though "Grand Theft Auto V" has not yet been announced for PC, Amazon's French, German and British outposts have posted listings for the long-awaited title on PC alongside its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 equivalents.

Speculation over whether "Grand Theft Auto V" would be made available on Windows computers arose after developer Rockstar Games omitted the platform from its release date announcement in November 2012.
Uncertainty over the multiplatform fate of "GTA V" stems back to 2010's "Red Dead Redemption," which exchanged the urban sprawl and vehicular japes of a "Grand Theft Auto" game for Wild West horseback riding and a tale of cowboy vengeance. Despite critical acclaim, the game did not emerge on PC.
However, Rockstar has shown a preference for debuting its games on consoles, with PC versions distributed in the following months. That was the case for "Grand Theft Auto IV" (2008), "L.A. Noire" (2011), and "Max Payne 3" (2012).
One line of thought associated with Rockstar's track record speculates that there may be a deal in place designed to promote pre-orders of "GTA V" on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and perhaps even on their successors, should an Xbox 720 and PS4 emerge in 2013, which would account for a lack of communication on the PC front.
Additionally, the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto IV" has benefited from a range of fan-made modifications which have kept it looking fresh and, in some instances, spectacularly up-to-date.
February 2012 saw Amazon France correctly identify that year's "Call of Duty" as a direct sequel to "Black Ops," and it did so two months ahead of the game's official reveal.
