Modern warfare simulator "Arma 3" crowns the Steam Network's sales chart on Monday, March 11, while "SimCity" is mayor of the Impulse-driven ranking.

As an exclusive alpha test for those who pre-order the full game, "Arma 3 Alpha" is already enjoying considerable success, building on the reputation of developer Bohemia Interactive following "Arma II" and its free "DayZ" zombie survival modification.

In practice, the launch of "SimCity" may not have fared so well, as online servers were overwhelmed by demand, making it difficult for budding metropolitan mayors to get started.

Sales-wise, the game fares well atop the Impulse chart, ahead of fellow Electronic Arts games "Crysis 3" and "Battlefield 3 Premium."

On GamersGate, the makers of election simulator "The Race for the White House" return with a more global perspective in "Masters of the World," while oldie "King of Dragon Pass" does well in a recent GOG promotion and Desura hits "McDroid" and "Cognition" benefit from inclusion in the current Indie Royale bundle.
