10 Dec 2013 : When the "ThaiFight" mobile app made its debut three months ago, the streets of Bangkok were still quiet and the political temperature was relatively cool. Supasheep Srijumnong, the app's developer, said he created the app _ a fighting game featuring characters that look uncannily like Thai politicians and celebrities _ for his own enjoyment and to entertain his family. He didn't realise that the eruption of protests would make his little plaything relevant, and timely symbolic.
06 Dec 2013 : An independent game developer achieved momentary fame last week when his iOS game went to top position in the Thai App Store. His brainchild - called Thai Fight - allows you to pitch Yingluck against Abhisit (more on it later in this article) and appeared amidst this political tension.
