Have you ever wished you could photograph yourself and the scene you are seeing simultaneously? Frontback can make that wish come true.

There are two panes for photographs — top and bottom. You can use either the front or back camera of your device. With a swipe, you can switch between cameras and switch pictures from top to bottom panes and vice versa. Imagine yourself at a concert. Now you can take a photo of you and your buddy and a shot of the stage at the same time. The app combines two pictures together the same way many other photo applications do.

The thing that sets Frontback apart from other apps is its social aspect. The app comes with its own photo community similar to Instagram. You can like others’ creative works and follow them, receiving notifications of their updates. Likewise, you can share your pictures via the app, as well as on your choice of social networks. It is a great way to see what people around the world are doing. Some of the pictures are quite creative, and some could make you laugh out loud. You also can find out what is trendy and popular. There is also a separate section for some great pictures picked by the staff.

Frontback sounds pretty promising. It is available in many languages. However, the app’s function is quite limited because you can’t import pictures you have taken outside the app. Also, you can’t really fix or touch up the pictures in any way other than to retake one or both. Aside from these limitations, the rest is up to your creativity.
