CHON BURI: A Kazakhstani woman, 78, was found dead at Jomtien beach, near Pattaya town, on Thursday morning.

Earlier, tourists and vendors at the beach saw what looked like person floating in the sea. When they went closer, they saw it was the body of a foreign woman. They took the body to the shore and called police.

Police said the dead woman, identified only as Lida, of Kazakhstan, had stayed with her husband at a hotel on Jomtien beach, not far from where she was found dead.
