Foreign affairs: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Thailand from April 24 to 29, government spokesman Chai Wacharonke said yesterday.
Ms Hasina is coming to visit under an invitation by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, he said.
During the visit, both leaders will witness the signing of various agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, he said.
Mr Srettha will also host a lunch for Ms Hasina and her delegation at Government House, he said.
The visit will be Ms Hasina's first since 2002, Mr Chai said, adding it will be an opportunity for officials from Thailand and Bangladesh to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in multiple areas, especially the commencement of free trade agreement negotiations.
Thailand and Bangladesh will also explore opportunities to collaborate in connectivity, tourism and people-to-people ties, he said.
