Earth (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Kentaro Sato, President, and Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President, held a press conference on the launch of "ARS Mos Shooter", an innovative mosquito eradication spray. This product, developed collaboratively by Earth and Kao, marks its debut in Thailand. The press conference was presided over by Mr. Takuro Tasaka, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand; Dr. Chantana Padungthod, Director of the Vector-Borne Diseases Division, Department of Disease Control; Assistant Professor Dr. Panida Srisan, Chairperson of the Chalermphrakiat Building Fund Administration, The Children's Hospital Foundation; along with Ms. Lydia Saranrach and her family, who also participated in a special talk on 'How to Protect Your Family from Dengue Fever.' The event took place at the Promotion Hall, Samyan Mitrtown Shopping Center, Bangkok.
Mr. Kentaro Sato stated, "Our company manufactures and markets mosquito and insect repellents with a commitment to continually develop products that best suit the lifestyles of the Thai people, thereby enhancing their quality of life by protecting them from diseases transmitted by mosquitos and insects. Currently, our primary focus is combating Dengue fever, a mosquito-borne disease caused by the dengue virus. We support the alleviation of Dengue fever through our annual nationwide CSR campaign 'ARS Fights Mosquitos & Dengue Fever.' Our goal is to help Maehongson — the province with the highest incidence of dengue fever in Thailand for multiple years — achieve zero cases of dengue fever. Earth has collaborated with Kao, a leader in household cleaning products, to develop 'ARS Mos Shooter,' an innovative mosquito eradication spray. Utilising Kao's proprietary surfactant technology, this product impairs the mosquito's ability to fly by wetting the wings. It also contains Citronella Oil, a natural extract that immediately neutralises the mosquitoes. Our collaboration stems from a long-standing commitment by both companies to provide quality household products to Thai consumers. Given the rise in dengue infections due to global warming and climate change, with 2023 recording the highest number of infections, our strategic partnership aims to quickly bring effective products to the market. The product will be manufactured at Kao's plant in Thailand and distributed by Earth to major retailers starting in July 2024."
