BMA Opens Health Tech Service at Seacon Bang Khae for Free Health Check-Ups

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched a Health Tech service at the Seacon Bang Khae Health Tech Center, offering free health check-ups.

“Today marks a significant milestone in Bangkok's public health system, as it demonstrates our commitment to patient care and citizen wellbeing by leveraging technology to access medical services without the need to visit hospitals. This Telemedicine concept, which was proposed two years ago, has now become a reality. People can come to the Health Tech service point for basic or detailed health checks and consult with doctors remotely. This initiative aims to make services more accessible, reducing the need for hospital visits, better managing resources, and allowing doctors to provide more comprehensive care,” said Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, at the opening of the Health Tech Center at Seacon Bang Khae, Phasi Charoen District.

The Governor expressed pride in the collaboration with companies such as Seacon Bang Khae, which provided the space for the service points, and Touch Technology Company, which integrated health technology. He praised the success and cooperation of all sectors and BMA’s role in facilitating this initiative. Highlighting the private sector’s involvement, he noted that this is just the beginning, with plans to scale rapidly as technology evolves. The aim is to eventually extend these services to every hospital and public health service center.

“Regarding elderly care in Bangkok, we regularly visit communities using the capillary concept, which involves public health service centers and Bangkok Public Health Volunteers. They support vulnerable groups, the elderly, and bedridden patients, providing advice and assistance at home, thus eliminating the need for hospital visits,” the Governor added.

“Health Tech, Seacon Bang Khae Branch” is the first facility of its kind in a department store, resulting from a collaboration between Bangkok and Rajapipat Hospital, the medical office, and Seacon Bang Khae Department Store. Located at the entrance of Seacon Bang Khae Department Store on Phetkasem Road, near MRT Phasi Charoen Station, it is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The center provides health check-ups and disease treatment with a team of medical experts, ensuring quick, accurate, and high-standard testing and premium service.
