Nestled in a scenic valley of the Suthep-Pui mountain range in Mae Rim, an hour's drive from Chiang Mai, Hmong Hilltribe Lodge offers the chance to experience traditional Hmong culture. The idea behind the lodge was to create an alternative to the day trips to visit ethnic villages; the lodge's proximity to several Hmong villages allows guests to explore the tribal outposts at their own leisure without the pressure of a day trip from the city. A member of Serenata Hotels & Resorts Group, Hmong Hilltribe Lodge is set at 2,700 feet above mean sea level and the weather is pleasantly mild and cool year round. The lodge is made up of 10 individual houses, each comprising four separate rooms around a central communal area. The rooms are in Standard, Superior and Deluxe categories. The lodge has a restaurant, swimming pool and massage salas. Each evening, performers from the nearby Hmong village of Mae Khi stage a cultural show for guests and there are trekking tours to villages farther afield.
