One of Chiang Mai's numerous hidden gems, Siripanna prides itself on being the only property within the city limits that offers villa accommodation. But to me the real plus of staying at this resort is the wonderful feeling of seclusion that permeates its Lanna-style compound.
Apart from the 16 villas, there are also 58 guestrooms of other types, with sizes ranging from 42 to 150m2.
For visitors to the northern capital who want a decent place to stay, but don't wish to broadcast their presence, this is definitely one place worth considering. The resort attracts not just holiday-makers seeking privacy, but also those searching for inner peace. As a matter of fact, it co-organises with the Tourism Authority of Thailand meditation courses conducted by Buddhist monks. The next scheduled session takes place over the weekend of November 4-6.
