North Eastern-Thailand will be incomplete without a visit to Ban Ta Klang Elephant village in the province of Surin. Surin Province is know worldwide for it's Elephant Festivals, Parks and Zoo's. This is where it all the Elephant rides and parks started from. The culture and heritage are represented by the locals, which are called the Suai people. They are skilled in capturing, training and raising elephants. An elephant museum here displays a complete elephant skeleton, its organs, tools used to capture elephants, elephant-raising techniques, and the history and development of Surin elephants
