Information

Wat Suan Luang Sopsawan Temple was constructed on a monastery west of the city, which has the old military regiment area in the royal garden compound adjacent to the original area of Wat Sopsawan. It's believed that King Maha's wife died in battle with the Burmese army here. Wat Suan Luang or the "Monastery of the Royal Garden" is in remembrance of her.
