Praya Phichai Dap Hak Monument was constructed in front of the town hall to honour a hero for his dedication and sacrifices for his country. As governor of Muang Phichai, about 200 years ago during the Thon Buri Period, he valiantly fought with Burmese invaders until one of his swords broke in two.
