Have you ever been to Prasat Sdok Kok Thom, Sa Kaeo province's most important Khmer ruins? If not July 26 is a good time to do so as the Fine Arts Department will be holding a light and sound performance at the restored historical site.

Dating back to the 11th century, Prasat Sdok Kok Thom is located about 30km or so northeast of the border town of Aranyaprathet. Here, an important piece of historical evidence was found -- a stone inscription that refers to several Khmer monarchs, including Jayavarman II, founder of the Angkor Empire.

The light and sound show, starting at 6.30pm, is open to the public free of charge. The dress rehearsal, which will take place on July 25 at the same time, also welcomes all. Apart from the performance, on both days there will also be a market featuring local products and goodies.

For more information, call 080-459-2955 and 098-265-6248.
