Information
The Banglamphu market extends over Phra Sumen Road, Chakrapong Road and others nearby in Phra Nakhon, Bangkok.
This market is close to the Khao San Road which is a popular place for tourists in Bangkok, but despite that it is still mainly a market frequented by locals to buy clothes and household accessories.
It gets its name from the lamphu trees that used to grow here. This tree has vertical roots and is a favourite gathering spot for fireflies.
- Open days
