Information
The Three Pagodas Pass is located about 240 kilometres from the city of Kanchanaburi or 22 kilometres from Sangkhla Buri. This Thai-Burmese border was once a strategic military route for both the Thai and Burmese. It is now a small border market. The three miniature pagodas are memorials to the traditional invasion route favoured by Burmese soldiers during the Ayutthaya period (1350-1767).
The border opens between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., depending on the political situation.
