Chiang Dao Market takes place just outside Chiang Dao every Tuesday from 6am in the morning till 12pm. The stands are drawn up over a length of almost 500 metres on both sides of the road and also inside. That's why it is called the 1001 Metre Market of Chiang Dao. Various goods are sold here from vegetables to tyres and from cloths to medicine. It is a typical local market. People come from everywhere and hardly any tourists are seen. You can see various hill tribes in their costumes selling or buying goods.
