The Hup Kraphong Royal Project is located in Cha- Am in Phetchaburi province. King Bhumibhol initiated the project in 1962 with the support of Israel to help local farmers experiencing agricultural difficulties as a result from infertile soil. Several studies on soil improvement, various cash crops and production efficiency have been conducted. It is Thailand's leading Royal Projects where tourists can buy farm product at the market located in front of the demonstration center as well as to buy products made of hemp under the folk arts and crafts project.
