The Mae Nam Wa is tributary from Nan River and originates at Khao Chom Pi Pan Nam mountain range present near the Thai-Laos border.
Mae Nam Wa actually contains more than 22 rapids with waters passing through valleys and being surrounded by undulating mountains and beautiful surroundings.These rapids are of level 3 to 5 difficulty with a total length of 100 kilometres. The most difficult part of the journey is when the waters pass through Kaeng Luang. The journey starts from Ban Nam Phu and it takes at least 4-5 hours to complete the entire journey. Ideal time for rafting is from September to January.
